Tata Steel UK welcomes Building Safety Minister to Building Systems UK site in Shotton
Visit highlights innovation, safety and future-focused construction products manufacturing
Tata Steel UK was pleased to welcome Samantha Dixon MP, Minister for Building Safety, Fire and Democracy, to its Building Systems UK site in Shotton for discussions on the future of construction products and building safety in the UK.
The visit included a tour of the Shotton manufacturing facility, where the Minister saw first-hand how Tata Steel UK’s construction products are designed and manufactured to support safe, sustainable and innovative building solutions for the future.
Representatives from Tata Steel UK and industry leaders also took part in a roundtable discussion focused on the Government’s Construction Products White Paper consultation, providing an opportunity to share feedback and insights on the future of construction products regulation and safety standards across the UK construction sector.
Speaking during the visit, Samantha Dixon MP said:

The visit reinforced the importance of collaboration between industry and government in shaping the future of construction products policy and ensuring the UK continues to deliver high-quality, safe and innovative buildings for generations to come.
