A Tata Steel UK innovation is heading to India after Catnic SolarSeam was selected to showcase at Tata InnoVista 2026 – the Tata Group’s flagship innovation recognition programme.
SolarSeam is one of just three Tata Steel innovations selected to exhibit at the event in Mumbai, India, on 7 October, where it will be showcased to senior leaders from across the Tata Group and its innovation community.
Developed by Catnic, part of Tata Steel UK, SolarSeam® combines a standing seam metal roof with bonded photovoltaic technology, generating renewable energy without the visible frames and fixings associated with conventional solar panels.

SolarSeam® will be showcased alongside Tata Steel’s HIsarna smelting reduction and hydrogen injection technologies, putting Tata Steel UK innovation on an international stage.
