In just a few minutes, you can get a real visual insight into what’s happening at Port Talbot and meet some of the people masterminding the major changes at the site. Recent clips include a tour of the impressive new project village – the modular complex offering office and welfare space for the more than 1,000 workers who will be coming onto site each day.
The videos are a great way to get an idea of the massive scale of the transformation project – for example in the preparation for the new scrap handling area, where concrete can be poured at a rate of 21,000m3 per day and 20,000 square metres has already been restored and prepared.
There are also discussions with experts on the future of the steel industry and the issues it is currently facing, from CBAM and tariffs to energy costs.
