Kind-hearted colleagues across Tata Steel UK came together last month for a series of Macmillan Coffee Mornings, raising hundreds of pounds to support people living with cancer.
From Port Talbot to Trostre, teams baked, brewed, raffled and rallied in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. The events were full of community spirit, generosity and, of course, plenty of sweet and savoury treats.
A Delicious Nationwide Effort
The fundraising events kicked off on 24 September and continued across the business, with each location adding their own special flavour:
- Port Talbot: FHQ Reception was filled with freshly baked cakes and friendly chatter to get things started.
- Corby: Colleagues gathered in the Manufacturing Office reception area to enjoy a variety of bakes.
- Lisburn: The main office became a vibrant coffee-and-cake hub for the day.
- Shotton: The Breakout Room turned into a mid-morning hotspot for sweet treats and donations.
- Llanwern: Hosted a lively event in the Lecture Theatre, with sausage rolls, cakes and a raffle featuring standout prizes like an iPad and afternoon tea at Celtic Manor.
- Hartlepool: The training room welcomed visitors throughout the day, raising an impressive £316.
- Trostre: The team started early outside the canteen, ensuring no one missed out on a morning treat.
- Catnic: Will round things off with its ever-popular Bake Off and charity raffle on 7 October.
Supporting a Cause That Matters
Public Affairs and Community Manager, Lewis Clark said:
“Across all these events, the response has been incredible. A huge thank you to everyone who baked, bought, raffled, organised or simply came along for a cake and a cuppa.
