The Llanwern Pickle Line team put down their razors and picked up a mission this Movember, growing their finest ’taches in heartfelt memory of their friend and colleague, Nick Burridge.
Pickle Line Area Production Manager Nick passed away recently after a brief battle with cancer – a loss deeply felt across the whole site.
Manufacturing Manager Chris Walker said: “During his treatment, Nick often spoke of the exceptional care he received from St David’s Hospice – a kindness the team wanted to honour and reciprocate.
“What began as a £1,000 fundraising target quickly turned into a tidal wave of support, with donations pouring in from across the site and beyond.”
By the end of the month, the moustaches were magnificent – and so was the final total.
“Thanks to the unbelievable generosity of so many people, we smashed our target and raised £2,500 to help support this incredible organisation,” added Chris.
A moving tribute to a much-loved colleague, and a powerful reminder of the strength of the Llanwern community.
