Marcus Bowman has taken over the role of Works Manager at the Tata Steel tube making site in Corby.
A chartered engineer, Marcus brings more than 30 years’ professional experience across various industrial sectors in a range of regions.
Marcus has led operations in steel mill services, plastic extrusions, gypsum wallboard and COMAH-regulated chemicals sites, and has overseen major capex projects including the construction of a new particleboard facility in Ukraine.
Taking up the reins at Corby he said: “For me personal and process safety come first, and we all have responsibilities for eliminating hazards and reducing risk in our facilities and operations; I have a deep-rooted personal interest in providing safety leadership.”

The Corby site is currently investing in a new combination tube mill, which is expected to be fully operational later this year.
