Trisobuild® as a site assembled multi-layer construction incorporates roof and wall liners which allow faster installation and encapsulation of the building envelope as weathertight compared with insulated sandwich panels, allowing the concrete floor slab to come forward and be poured much sooner in the construction programme.

The Trisobuild® system then provides a construction overlap, allowing the concrete to cure whilst the envelope contractor continues to progress the placement of insulation and weathering profile to the wall and roofing wall system, this can be considered a parallel workflow, avoiding dependencies that would otherwise have the potential to delay the overall schedule of works.

Weight and load considerations are often an overlooked advantage of site assembled systems, and principally where fire resistance requirements of the building envelope dictate the use of mineral fibre insulated systems. The comparable weight of mineral fibre insulated sandwich panels can often increase the steelwork requirements of the build, which similarly precludes any manual handling, requiring mechanical plant for movement and installation throughout the project. This can impact the site logistics, speed of movement and installation, and ultimately has a commercial uplift cost when compared to the site assembled multi-layered alternative of Trisobuild®.
